We try to encourage students to learn and practise reading carefully. However, we acknowledge that in specific circumstances the text being read out loud could be a useful tool to support specific students, for example, those with a visual impairment. In these cases, most third-party screen reading software should work alongside Sparx Reader.

Sparx Reader is compatible with any device with standard browsers (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox). As these browsers are generally not available on Kindles, it is not possible to use Reader on these devices.
